Jamaican high commission

Unconditional Landing

Unconditional Landing status allow an individual to live in Jamaica indefinitely while being able to attend school  or work without having a work permit.  Persons with this status may remain in Jamaica for an extended period of time.

Qualification

The following are the categories of persons who are entitled to apply for unconditional landing:

  • Persons born overseas of Jamaican parentage
  • Jamaicans who are holders of non-Jamaican passports 
  • Holders of a Caribbean Community (free movement of skilled persons) Certificate
  • Persons who have been naturalised or registered as citizens of Jamaica.

Documentary Requirements

Persons of Jamaican heritage

  • Passport
  • original Birth certificate
  • Jamaican parent's or grandparent's birth certificate

Jamaicans who are holders of non-Jamaican passports

  • national passport
  • original Jamaican birth certificate or Jamaican passport

Minors

  • the abovementioned documents in additon to the parent's or guardian's ID

Others

  • With respect to the other categories of persons, the Certificate of Citizenship or Caribbean Community Certificate should be submitted with their passport

Fee of J$ 10, 000
